Opening Scene 3

In Gridiron Gang the producers use such elevated shots as the one above to show the scale and the area around the juvenile centre. Furthermore the focus on barbed wire insights the audience that there is no way out of the juvenile centre and that there is usually trouble caused around the area. Also due to the centre being quite bare and a concrete jungle shows how the juveniles do not have many luxuries because they have made a mistake in life and are hear to learn.

Opening Scene 2

In Gridiron Gang the producers use such actor level shots as the one above to emphasise how claustrophobic the space for the juvenile really is. Also due to the audience realising that the camera shot is in the corner of the room it adds a sense of emptiness and bare necessities to the room and therefore this is interpreted as the juvenile must be in a special cell due to him misbehaving.

Opening Scene 1

In Gridiron Gang the producers use such shots as the one above to create the illusion that the audience are in the room and that the camera angle shows that this room is quite small. Due to this place being where the juveniles sleep, the viewers attention is automatically draw to the desk in the middle which is lit up. This is effective as it is already in the audiences view and the fact that it is well lit compared to the rest of the room also makes it effective.
